Welcome to WETIA

WETIA stands for World Evangelical Theological Institute Association. We are a nonprofit service and research organization supporting the world’s evangelical theological colleges and seminaries with new technologies that keep them relevant and vital. Through the generosity of private donors, foundations, and corporations, WETIA is able to accomplish our broad mission of helping these organizations maximize the full potential of e-learning.

WETIA has an especial commitment to the advancement of evangelical Christian thought and movements in non-Christian societies. A substantial component of our programming is devoted to the deployment of online learning programs that serve regions with the least access to the Gospel message, Biblical resources, and Christian work of any kind within their borders.

Today, WETIA is strengthening evangelical postsecondary education in several strategic ways. Through research and development, we are identifying issues and trends that impact the field. As a service provider, we are addressing a variety of our constituents’ technology development needs to better serve in and beyond their own local communities. WETIA is also a platform for a Bible-based higher learning network, with membership channels and linkages that are allowing institutions to collaboratively shape the future of theological study.
